It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sarah Elizabeth Counceller, age 34, who died on Monday, May 11, 2026. Her sudden passing has left family, friends, and the Connersville community in deep sorrow.
Born on September 14, 1991, in Connersville, Indiana, Sarah was the daughter of Joseph Counceller and Michelle Pierce Counceller. She was known throughout her life for her caring nature, creative spirit, and deep love for her family and friends.
A graduate of Connersville Senior High School, Class of 2010, Sarah began her working life at Showtime Cinema Movie Theater before later dedicating herself to waitressing and home health care—roles that reflected her compassionate and selfless personality. Through her work, she formed meaningful lifelong connections, including a close bond with Linda and Bobby Crabtree, who became like family to her.
Sarah also had a bright and active childhood, excelling as a talented gymnast and earning multiple awards and medals across the state. Beyond her athletic ability, she had a strong creative and artistic side, finding joy in photography, nature, fishing, collecting rocks, and caring for animals.
Above all, Sarah was a devoted mother to her two sons, Jaxon Cooper Seale and Jonah Lee Counceller. She cherished every moment with them, whether they were riding bikes, playing sports, or simply spending quiet time together at home.
She is remembered as someone whose kindness, warmth, and loving personality touched everyone she met. Sarah had a way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and cared for in her presence.
Sarah is survived by her children; her parents; siblings; grandparents; extended family; and many close friends, all of whom are deeply mourning her loss.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Urban Winkler Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow on Monday, May 18, at 11:00 a.m., with burial at Everton Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Fayette County Animal Shelter.
Sarah Elizabeth Counceller will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
