Milan Glen Dodson Death, Obituary: Tragic Head-On Collision Claims Young Life in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania
A fatal head-on crash occurred on Tuesday evening in Lycoming County, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Milan Glen Dodson. The incident took place at approximately 7:28 p.m. on the 2100 block of Route 44 in Nippenose Township, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
Investigators report that Dodson, of Jersey Shore, was traveling southbound when he attempted to pass another vehicle by entering the northbound lane. He then encountered an oncoming vehicle driven by 36-year-old Arliss James Rhinehart of Waterville.
As Dodson attempted to return to his lane, the two vehicles collided head-on. The impact of the crash caused severe injuries, and he was pronounced deceased as a result of the collision. The other driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing, with Pennsylvania State Police continuing to gather evidence and speak with witnesses to determine the full circumstances surrounding the crash. It is not yet clear whether speed, roadway conditions, or other factors contributed to the incident.
