Beaumont police have identified the man killed in an early morning motorcycle crash as 42-year-old Rashaad Coleman of Beaumont, Texas.
According to investigators, the fatal accident occurred shortly after dawn along Calder Avenue near the intersection with Goodhue. Authorities said Coleman was riding his motorcycle when, for reasons still under investigation, it left the roadway and struck a tree.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene following reports of a crash, but despite their efforts, Rashaad Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
Police have not yet released further details on what caused the motorcycle to veer off the roadway. Investigators continue to examine possible contributing factors, including speed, road conditions, and other circumstances surrounding the crash. No other vehicles were involved.
